BEIJING, Dec. 15 -- Being the first of its kind in the naval aviation force, a fighter jet unit assigned to the navy under the PLA Northern Theater Command recently conducted a training session at a shooting range by the Bohai Sea. Pilots flew their jets to penetrate the defense line and carry out offensive operation, while an officer at the ground tower watched closely the planes’ posture in the air in a bid to tailor the next training courses with the right level of difficulty for each pilot.
