Stories of struggle and heroism from the survivors of the Long March have been passed down for generations in China. Officers and soldiers of the revolutionary Red Army suffered tremendously on their historic mission, often going without food and deprived of sleep. Luo Jianguo has been guarding the martyrs' cemetery for 25 years. It's not only out of his own faith but also to fulfill a promise he made to his father, a Red Army soldier. Luo told CGTN that he will stick to the job and try his best to continue taking good care of those heroes by managing the cemetery.
