JUBA, Feb. -- The first equipment inspection of the 8th Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion to South Sudan (Juba) in the new year was conducted by the Sector Juba of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) on February 24 as scheduled. After nearly eight hours of evaluation, all the equipment of the Chinese battalion met the UN standards and passed the inspection.
During the inspection, more than 2,000 pieces of equipment, 7,000 pieces of materials and equipment and 70 categories of UN assets from the Chinese battalion met the UN standards and passed the inspection.
