BEIJING, Nov. 26 -- Recently, a new type of tracked all-terrain vehicle, whose maneuverability, off-road efficiency and plateau adaptability have been significantly improved, was commissioned to a regiment under the PLA Xinjiang Military Command.
With a non-metallic crawler structure, the newly modified all-terrain vehicle has a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour and a wading depth of 1.2 meters. It can maintain good maneuverability even on a steep slope of 35 degrees.
In addition, being equipped with an electronic control system that can assort with the automatic transmission to adjust the speed at any time, the vehicle can run on complex terrains with low load-bearing capacity, such as snowfield, wilderness, swamp and woodland.
