Militants attack hotel in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 11 (Xinhua) -- At least three militants stormed a five-star hotel after spraying bullets at it in the Gwadar district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Saturday, the province's information minister told media.

Zahoor Ahmad Buledi, the minister, said that no casualty has been reported so far and security forces are battling the militants after cordoning off the area.

He said that all guests from the hotel have been successfully evacuated and shifted to some safe place.

Quoting eyewitnesses, local Urdu TV channel Samaa said that fierce exchange of firing between security forces and militants continues in the area.
