BEIJING, Feb. 27 (ChinaMil) -- Recently, the Institute of Health Service and Blood Research of the School of Military Medical Sciences of the PLA Academy of Military Sciences has completed the first strategic and operational medical service wargame simulation based on a military medical training simulation evaluation platform.

It is reported that this simulation used the independently developed “Strategic and Operational Medical Service Wargame Simulation System”. Driven by informationized battlefield environment and actual combat process, the simulation consists of “attrition on the battlefield”, “casualty evacuation at strategic and operational levels”, “medication material and blood supplement during the war” and other medical service segments.

The leaders of the academy, health experts, and faculty members acted as commanders at all levels of the simulation. During the simulation, the participants made a variety of medical support measures and a series of efficient strategic and operational medical support programs based on the true conditions of the battlefield.

In addition, random courses such as “rescuing the distressed pilots” “simulating field medicine warehouse being assaulted” and “urban nuclear power plant destruction and leakage” were also conducted to further examine participants' emergency response capabilities.

This simulation tested the feasibility of current medical research results and achieved the transition from simple medical service theory to comprehensive operational support practice.
