GUANGZHOU, Jan. 22 (ChinaMil) -- The Pilot Recruitment Bureau of Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force evaluated more than 160 female high school graduates from Guangdong and Hainan provinces from January 18 to 20 in Guangzhou. It is reported that the PLA Air Force plans to recruit its 12th batch of female pilots this year, numbering over 40 high school graduates, with no limit on their subjects (either science or arts).

The pilots recruitment process for PLA Air Force is composed of three major categories of more than 200 tests including physical examination, psychological test, and political assessment. If a candidate fails in any of these tests, she will be eliminated.

Compared with past years, graduates are more enthusiastic this year, and there are more than 500 girls in Guangdong Province who have signed up for the primary selection. After the Spring Festival, the PLA Air Force will set up a re-selection station in Changsha in central China’s Hunan Province to test female candidates from Hubei and Hunan provinces.
