BEIJING, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Two regulations that standardize intra-Party supervision and accountability in the military, issued by China's Central Military Commission (CMC), take effect on Aug. 1.

The two regulations stipulate the responsibilities of Party governance and supervision of Party committees and discipline inspection commissions at all levels in the military, according to a statement by the CMC.

The regulations will also help improve the conduct of Party members, tighten discipline and fight corruption in the military, the statement said.

The regulation on intra-Party supervision in the military establishes a system of internal scrutiny, comprising the unified leadership of the CMC, overall supervision by Party committees, specialized supervision by discipline inspection commissions, routine supervision by grassroots Party organizations, and democratic scrutiny by Party members.

The regulation that holds Party officials accountable for poor leadership in the military improves the accountability system and mechanism, and intensifies their implementation.

The latter regulation encourages Party members to be loyal to the Party and have moral integrity and a keen sense of responsibility, the statement said.
