China on Saturday urged Japan to uphold the correct view of history after Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe reportedly gave ritual offerings to the Yasukuni Shrine.
China's stance on the Yasukuni Shrine issue is consistent and clear, said Lu Kang, spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
China also urges Japan to face up to and reflect on its history through actions, he added.
