Annual report on China's military rule of law development released

XI'AN, April 13 (ChinaMil) -- The 2018 academic annual conference on Chinese military law and a symposium on the development of rule of law in the Chinese military over 40 years of reform and opening up was held Thursday at the Xi’an Campus of the School of Political Science of the PLA National Defense University. The China's Military Rule of Law Development Report 2017 was officially released at the conference.

The report summarizes, in the seven sub-reports of military legislation, military justice, military-related rights protection work, comprehensive enforcement of strict discipline, international military law, military law research, and armed conflict law research, the achievements of the rule of law development in the Chinese military in 2017, gives a panoramic description of the development of military rule of law and forecasts its further development

Nearly 100 scholars and experts in military law studies from civilian and military research institutions attended the conference. They believed that as an important record and valuable document on the development and progress of China's military rule of law, the report will provide useful references for the theoretical study of military management according to law and practical measures to be taken for military rule of law development.
