The General Political Department of the PLA issued a circular today demanding the whole military forces and armed police to unfold educational activities about our country's first manned space flight. All officers and soldiers should further affirm their confidence, forge ahead, and study and carry out the important thought of "Three Represents" so as to make new contributions for the innovation of the whole armed forces with Chinese characteristics.

　　The circular points out that the success of China's first manned space flight is a great event of the Chinese people on the march of climbing the world highest peak of science and technology. It is a symbol that China is now one of the countries in the world mastering the technology of manned space flight. And it is also a new victory of our socialist course with Chinese characteristics. The whole Chinese people are proud of it and it will also be a great power of promoting our country to a prosperous and strong one.

　　The circular demands the whole armed forces to study carefully the speech of Hu Jintao, the general secretary of the CPC, on the success flight of Shenzhou-V manned spaceship, and study Chairman Jiang Zemin's congratulation message as well as those of the Central Committee of the CPC, the State Council and the Central Military Commission. Through studying and carrying out various activities, all officers and men of the armed forces should enhance their sense of national confidence and pride and their faith in the important thought of "Three Represents". All officers and men should know more about our country's history of space technology and development, and great achievements of socialist construction since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). All officers and men should learn from the glorious deeds of the scientists and servicemen who have been involved in the manned space flight.　　

　　The circular demands the entire armed forces to combine the educational activities with the studying of "Three Represents" and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the CPC. Through carrying out various activities, the political enthusiasm and spirit of patriotism of all officers and men should be aroused to shoulder the historic task of mechanical and information construction, and realize the modernization of our armed forces. All officers and men of the PLA should do a great job in fulfilling the glorious task given by the Party and the people.
