SARS education
goes to countryside of China

BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhuanet) -- The China Red
Cross Society (CRCS)will deliver 100,000 sets of VCDs and posters
on the prevention and control of severe acute respiratory syndrome
(SARS) to the countryside, CRCS Vice President Wang Lizhong said
here Thursday.
Wang said the publicity materials, jointly produced
by CRCS and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red
Crescent Societies, will be sent to TV stations, radio stations,
house clinics, and schools at all levels in rural areas.
So far, red cross organizations in China had
received more than 600 million yuan in donations, equal to 72.3
million US dollars.
