　 　This medical protective hood, developed by the Institute of Medical Equipment of The Military Academy of Medical Science, has been designed especially for the frontline medical staff working in hospitals of infectious diseases. Purified air is supplied into the hood by means of positive pressure, and a relatively high pressure is maintained inside the hood to prevent contaminated air goes into the hood. This type of hood has now been used in some designated SARS hospitals in Beijing and Tianjin.
