　　This ambulance for transporting infectious patients, developed by the Medical Equipment Research Institute of the Military Academy of Medical Science, is based on a general-purpose ambulance refitted with negative pressure air-filtering system. The driver's cabin is completely insulated from the patient's cabin, which has negative air pressure to prevent contaminated air from escaping. The air filtering system can filter 99.97 percent of aerosol particles as small as 0.3μm. The system, which is controlled by the driver, is equipped together with an automatic warning system that beeps when air pressure is too low.
