　　The General Political Department of the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) issued a series of stimulating policies to boost the morale of the PLA medical professionals during the current fighting against SARS.

　　In a recent circular, the department pointed out that the medical professionals of the PLA have assumed major responsibilities in fulfilling the tasks of treatment and medical scientific research since the deadly epidemic began. Their achievements are obvious and their work has embodied the heroic spirit and fine tradition of the PLA.

　　In order to further the heroic spirit among the medical professionals of the PLA, said the circular, the Personnel Department of the General Political Department will offer preferential policies to the medical professionals in their promotion examinations. Some other stimulating policies will also be issued soon.
