BEIJING,
Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- A documentary titled "Mao Zedong
-A Charismatic Leader" will debut soon in China to
commemorate the 110th anniversary of the birth of
the late Chinese leader Mao Zedong.
Published
by the Huaxia Film Distribution Co., Ltd, the documentary
includes film footage dating from 1938 which has never
been seen before by the general public.
"People
are not familiar with the real life and thinking of
this outstanding leader, apart from his behavior in
the historical events, especially the younger generation.
That's why we made the film," said Guo Benmin, deputy
head of the Central News Records Film Studio.
"Thanks
to the people who made and kept the records, we can
get to know Mao better 27 years after his death,"
said Teng Jinxian, former director of the State Administration
of Film.
Mao
died in 1976 and Dec. 26 this year is the 110th anniversary
of his birthday.
