New
medical equipment join UN peacekeeping
Nine types of new medical equipment developed by the Chinese People's
Liberation Army for the UN peace-keeping mission were lifted on board
and ready to set out at New Port of Tianjin on February 17, 2003.
These equipment, all in white, have big black English letters "UN"
painted outside. Inside the air-conditioned field first-aid vehicle,
electrocardiograph and Oxygen supply are equipped, enabling doctors
to treat four patients at the same time.
These nine types of equipment were picked up by the UN peacekeeping
administration at the end of last year.
This is the first time for the Army's medical equipment to be
sent abroad.
