summit.
During his first state visit to Kyrgyzstan, which began on Tuesday, Hu held
talks with President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev and met with other leaders
of Kyrgyzstan. They exchanged views on major issues of common interest.
In his talks with President Bakiyev on Tuesday, the Chinese president said

Kyrgyzstan.
Bakiyev praised China as a good partner for his country in carrying out
political and economic cooperation and said developing relations with China is a
foreign policy priority of his country.

bilateral relations, anti-terrorism, military cooperation, trade promotion and
other major issues of common concern.
In Bishkek, President Hu attended the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation
Organization (SCO) on Thursday.

Chelyabinsk in Russia's Ural Mountains region, he will observe a joint
anti-terrorism drill, dubbed "Peace Mission 2007,"together with leaders of other
SCO member states. He will then pay a state visit to Kazakhstan.
