BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chen Bingde, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), left here on Wednesday afternoon for an official visit to Serbia and Norway.

　　He is visiting at the invitation of his counterparts of Serbia, Zdravko Ponos, and Norway Armed Forces Chief of Defence Sverre Diesen.

　　Chen is also a member of the Central Military Commission (CMC),the armed forces' leading organ.

　　His entourage includes Zhao Xingfa, PLA Navy deputy commander, Yu Jixun, PLA Second Artillery Force deputy commander, and Lv Dingwen, PLA Guangzhou Area Command deputy commander.
