Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, visited some officers and men of the support-Olympic troops yesterday, during which he extended cordial greetings to all the officers and men rendering support to the Beijing Olympic Games, urged them to continue to do a good job of the support work including the Olympic security work so as to make new contributions to the successful holding of a safe, unique and high-level Olympic Games.

　　Those who accompanied Guo Boxiong to visit the support-Olympic troops included Wu Shengli, member of the Central Military Commission and commander of the PLA Navy, and Xu Qiliang, member of the Central Military Commission and commander of the PLA Air Force.

　　Guo Boxiong went to the residing places of the support-Olympic troops of the PLA Navy, the PLA Air Force, the Beijing Military Area Command and the Armed Police Force stationed in Beijing to listen to their work reports and personally inspect the guard duty posts. Guo Boxiong pointed out that to support the Olympics is a sacred mission of the military entrusted by the Party and the people. At present, various Olympic support missions including the Olympic security work are still at the crucial stage and are still very heavy. Thus the support-Olympic troops must remain sober-minded and continue to fulfill various support-Olympic work according to high standard and in high quality until the successful closing of the Olympics and the Paralympics.

　　Guo Boxiong stressed that the Olympic security work is a top priority in all the support-Olympic work, the support-Olympic troops must grasp it firmly, do it successfully and must not slacken efforts for a single moment.
