BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo on Monday met with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev on the sidelines of the Beijing Olympic Games.

　　During their hour-long talks in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Dai appreciated Russia's full support to the Beijing Olympic Games. They exchanged opinions on bilateral ties and issues of common concern, according to a statement released by Chinese Foreign Ministry.

　　Patrushev, who arrived in Beijing on Sunday, has joined thousands of spectators watching two volleyball matches.
