Xu Caihou, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, pointed out when inspecting and giving guidance to the development of the Political Work Website of the PLA yesterday that it was a must to stick to the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of the "Three Represents", deepen the implementation of the scientific outlook on development, put into effect earnestly the important instructions of President Hu Jintao, value highly the building of military websites, and bring into better play the role of military websites in strengthening troops' ideological and political construction.

　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, accompanied him during the inspection.

　　Since its establishment in October 2005, the Political Work Website of the PLA has opened a new channel and space to enrich the cultural life of the officers and men and help them to become the well-educated through study, and rendered a good information service support for the leading bodies at all levels to give better guidance to and carry out work. At present, the website has interconnected 90% of divisions and brigades and 70% of companies of the military establishment with a daily access of over 3 million pages/times.

　　Xu Caihou emphasized that President Hu Jintao attached great importance to stepping up the building of websites and made a series of important instructions to that end. Therefore, we must act according to the instructions of President Hu Jintao, pay great attention to stepping up the building of military websites by looking at it earnestly from the view point of seizing the commanding ground of cultural communication and dissemination, and holding the dominating position of the publicity and ideological work under the informationization conditions, so as to break new grounds and boost new development in the military ideological and political work under the new situation.
