PLA four general headquarters/departments extend festival greetings to retired officers

  Chen Bingde, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of general staff of the PLA, attended the art and cultural performance for celebrating the Army Day and conveying greetings to veterans in Beijing on July 30. Before the performance, Chen Bingde and other leaders of the General Staff Headquarters of the PLA met representatives of veterans and extended festival greetings to all the retired cadres, the broad officers and men, staff and workers and their dependents.

  On the morning of the same day, Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, attended the veterans tea party for the 81st anniversary of the founding of the PLA held by the General Political Department, at which he extended festival greetings and lofty respects to all retired cadres from the General Political Department.

  On the afternoon, Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, attended and presided over the Army Day tea party for the retired cadres from the units stationed in Beijing, and extended to them festival greetings and lofty respects on behalf of the Party committee, leading bodies and troops of the General Logistics Department.

  On the eve of the Army Day, Chang Wanquan, member of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Armaments Department of the PLA, visited some retired cadres of the General Armaments Department living in Beijing, and extended festival greetings to all the veterans.

  Leaders of the four general headquarters/departments of the PLA stated that all the retired cadres and veterans are precious treasures of the Party, the country and the army, and therefore, the country, the people and the army will never forget their historic achievements.
