From July 14-16, the naval reservists conducted a cross-theatre call-out
drill with full strength in a South China Sea waters. During the drill, they
were grouped and trained together with active servicemen. This drill is aimed at
checking the rapid mobilization capability of the naval reservists at various
levels and enhancing the capabilities of the naval reserve flotillas in their
response to emergency call-out and in organizing the training.
