The forum on studying and implementing the scientific outlook on development attended by the leaders of the pilot units was held on July 9 in Beijing. The primary task of the forum is to study and carry out President Hu Jintao's important instruction on conducting experiment in selected units on the in-depth study and implementation of the scientific outlook on development and the essence of the forum by the CPC Central Committee on studying and implementing the scientific outlook on development in a deep-going way, sum up the work in the early stage and make arrangements for the tasks in the next stage.

　　Xu Caihou, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended and addressed the forum, in which he stressed that the entire PLA and the Armed Police Force should unify their thinking and actions with the decision and arrangement made by the CPC Central Committee and President Hu Jintao, make efforts to carry forward the great spirit of earthquake rescue and relief, uphold the strong sense of political responsibility and the sense of mission, maintain the strong momentum, and do a good job in the pilot work of studying and implementing the scientific outlook on development with high standard and high quality.
