Xu Caihou visits China's Special Art Exhibition themed Heartfelt Care for Wenchuan

  Since the China's Special Art Exhibition themed Heartfelt Care for Wenchuan was opened to the public three days ago, it has evoked resounding repercussions in all walks of life and attracted nearly 60,000 visitors. Xu Caihou, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, visited the exhibition held in the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution on June 24.

  Jointly sponsored by China Artists Association and the Publicity Department of the General Political Department of the PLA, the exhibition faithfully recorded and recaptured the magnificent and soul-stirring scenes showing the Chinese armed forces and civilians working strenuously for a successful operation of quake rescue and relief. Some spectators left their comments saying that visiting the exhibition is not only an education in the general sense, but also a chance of subliming their spirit; Looking at the works will enable them to see the great strength of the solidarity between the army and the civilians.

  During the visit, Xu Caihou first conveyed his greetings and thanks to the artists for their assiduous work in the creation of these works on the quake rescue and relief efforts. He then praised the artists for creating such a great number of soul-touching and inspiring art works with their passionate brushes, and encouraged them to continue to go to the frontline of quake rescue and relief operation and plunge into the thick of life in the quake stuck areas to produce more masterpieces.
