HELSINKI, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Finland's Defense Minister Jyri Hakamies will
visit China from June 1-6, the Finnish Defense Ministry said in a press release
Friday.
During his visit, Hakamies will meet with Chinese Defense Minister Liang
Guanglie. They are expected to discuss issues pertaining to bilateral defense
administration, as well as the security and political situation of Asia and
Europe, the release said.
In the capital Beijing, Hakamies will be invited to participate in the
activities of the Chinese armed forces and police forces, the release said. He
is also scheduled to visit the Chinese center for strategic research and the
Olympic Village.
The Finnish minister will also visit the city of Shanghai, where he will
meet with representatives of Finnish companies operating in China.
