  BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The two-week First Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, closed here Tuesday morning after completing its agenda.

  The closing meeting, held at the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing, was presided over by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and an executive chairman of the session. Full Story

  China's parliament to hold closing ceremony

  BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The First Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) is to hold its last meeting at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

  President Hu Jintao and NPC Standing Committee Chairman Wu Bangguo are scheduled to address the closing meeting.

  The meeting is expected to adopt resolutions endorsing the government work report, the report on the work of the 10th NPC Standing Committee, and the reports presented to the NPC by the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate. Full Story
