GUANGZHOU, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- The New Zealand frigate Te Kaha left
Zhanjiang military harbor in south China's Guangdong Provinceon Monday,
concluding a three-day good-will visit.
During the visit, Commodore David Anson and other New Zealand officers met
with Chinese naval officers and local government officials and the frigate crew
members also visited the harbor city of Zhanjiang.
The two sides also participated in soccer and basketball games and visited
each other's warships as well.
The Te Kaha missile frigate belongs to Anzac class which was made in
Australia. It has been in service since 1997 with a load displacement of 3,600
tons and a highest sailing speed of 27 knots.
The frigate, having 28 officers and 148 soldiers, was on its first visit to
the port.
