Military leader: China ready to push forward military relations with Mali

  BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese armed forces will work with the Malian side to continuously push forward their cooperative relations.

  Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Liang Guanglie made the remarks here Tuesday during his talks with Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Mali Seydou Traore.

  Liang said the Chinese armed forces attaches importance to its relations with the Malian side and he appreciated Mali's one-China policy.

  Traore said the Malian armed forces will learn from Chinese experience and hoped his current visit will help further promote the friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

  Traore is here as Liang's guest and he is also scheduled to visit Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, and Guangzhou, capital of southern Guangdong Province.

  Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan met with Traore here Monday.
