Li Jinai, NPC deputy from the army, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, said at a panel discussion of the PLA delegation attending the Fifth Session of the Tenth National People's Congress that the government work report made by Premier Wen is a report that holds high the great banner and commands the overall situation, a report that is scientific and pragmatic and pays close attention to the people's livelihood, and an inspiring and stimulating report. The current NPC session is of great significance towards rallying the will and power of the whole Party and the whole society, promoting the building of a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and speeding up the building of a harmonious socialist society. He stressed that the army must actively adapt itself to the new situation and new tasks, stick to taking the scientific outlook on development as the important guideline, stress on effectively fulfilling its historical mission in the new century and the new period, adhere to the fine traditions of obeying orders of the Party in all actions, serving the people wholeheartedly and being heroic and combat-worthy, and do a more solid and effective ideological and political work, so as to greet the successful convening of the 17th National Congress of the CPC with excellent achievements.
