The Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the General Political Department of the PLA, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the CPC Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region jointly gave a public lecture on Jiangyongxirao's outstanding deeds at the Great Hall of the People yesterday. Xu Caihou, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, met with the members of the lecture team before the lecture and extended sincere greetings to them on behalf of Chairman Hu Jintao and other leaders of the Central Military Commission.

　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, also attended the meeting.

　　Xu Caihou said that Jiangyongxirao is one of the outstanding Tibetan cadres fostered by the CPC and also a role model exemplary in sincerely serving the people and earnestly carrying out the tenets of the PLA. Xu Caihou stressed that the units at all levels should keep on making greater efforts to cultivate cadres of ethnic minorities and bring up more outstanding military officers of ethnic minorities like Jiangyongxirao.

　　Xu Caihou also emphasized that Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province was just struck by a powerful earthquake, subjecting the armed forces to very arduous, urgent and formidable disaster relief work, so the PLA and the Armed Police Force should resolutely implement the CPC Central Committee and Chairman Hu Jintao's important instructions, regard the disaster relief as the first important task, go into action immediately, go all out to plunge into the effort of disaster relief and make the utmost endeavor to reduce the losses of people's lives and assets.

　　At the public lecture, Jiangyongxirao briefed the participants his love for the Party, his dedication to the service of the country, his loyalty to the missions and his own experience of integrating individual's growth into the state development, the unity and rejuvenation of all the nationalities and the army construction.

　　Over 700 young students and officers and men stationed in Beijing attended the lecture.

　　The relevant leaders of the PLA four general headquarters/departments, the Chengdu Military Area Command and the General Office of the Central Military Commission participated in the meeting.
