While making an inspection tour in the troop units stationed in Jinan and Shijiazhuang and the National Defense University (NDU) over April 21-25, Xu Caihou, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, pointed out that conducting the activity of deeply studying and implementing the scientific outlook on development is a vital strategic arrangement made by the 17th National Congress of the CPC, an important move to arm the Party and the armed forces with the latest achievements of the application of Marxism in China, and likewise a concrete step to enhance the governing capability and the building of the advanced nature of the Party in an all-round way.

　　At present, as the experimental work in the armed forces is in full swing, each experimental unit must have a clear understanding of the significance of the work and do a good job in the experimental work in the spirit of great responsibility, with high political zeal and a solid work style, Xu said during the inspection.
