On the morning of March 7, the specially invited military delegates to the 1st Session of the 11th CPPCC held a joint group discussion and Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, visited the military delegates and joined in their group discussion.

　　Zhao Guojun and other seven military delegates spoke at the joint group discussion and made some valuable suggestions and proposals on how to strengthen maritime security, improve efficiency of IT application and enhance the country's capabilities to resist natural disasters, etc.

　　Guo Boxiong expressed the following hopes on how the military delegates to the CPPCC can do a good job of the CPPCC work and give full scope to their role: Firstly, all delegates should bear firmly in mind the mission and earnestly fulfill their duties as the CPPCC delegates. Secondly, all delegates should actively offer advices and suggestions focusing on the building of the Party and the army and other important issues. Thirdly, all delegates should study hard and continue to improve their quality and abilities to fulfill their duties. Fourthly, all delegates should be in full agreement with the Central Committee of the CPC with Comrade Hu Jintao as the general secretary and give full scope to the role of military delegates to the CPPCC.
