　　While meeting those attending the special course on military training under informationalization conditions yesterday, Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized that the entire army should hold high the great banners of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three Represents", implement in an all-round way the scientific outlook on development, further carry out Jiang Zemin's thinking on national defense and army building, resolutely put into practice a series of the important instructions of Chairman Hu Jintao, focus on effectively fulfilling the historical mission of the army in the new century and the new period, stick to the overall guidance of the military strategic principle in the new period, energetically boost the transformation of military training from that under the mechanization conditions to that under the informationalization conditions, make great efforts to uplift the combat effectiveness of the army under the informationalization conditions, and be ready at all times to accomplish all duties entrusted by the Party and the people.

　　Liang Guanglie, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of general staff of the PLA, attended the meeting. In addition, leaders of the General Staff Headquarters of the PLA and the National Defense University, such as Xu Qiliang, Ma Xiaotian and Zhao Keming, were also present at the meeting.
