Loaded with the deep love between the frontier servicemen and the various
ethnic groups living in the border areas, with the genuine feelings of the
frontier servicemen's love for the frontier and their devotion to the
construction and defense of the frontier, the PLA delegation participating in
the 3rd National Ethnic Theatrical Festival staged a national song and dance
evening entitled Servicemen Serving at Frontier Station in the Opera
House of the People's Liberation Army yesterday evening.
Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the
General Political Department of the PLA attended and watched the performance.
Among the participating programs of the 3rd National Ethnic
Theatrical Festival, the national song and dance evening is the only one that
reflects the army life, featuring a standing-out theme, distinctive style and an
assemblage of top-notch artistic works, high-end performances, and strong
artistic glamour.
After the performance, Li Jinai and other leaders stepped on the stage to
cordially shake hands with the performers and the staff members, and
congratulated them on their successful performance. He wishes that they will
carry forward and promote the fine traditions to continuously take root in the
border areas and create more and better literature works, so as to contribute
more brilliant spiritual food to the broad frontier servicemen and masses.
Other leaders Sun Jiazheng, Liu Yongzhi, Sun Zhongtong, Liu Zhenqi, Tong
Shiping and Jiang Jichu from the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Ministry
of Culture and the General Political Department of the PLA watched the
performance as well.
