The first meeting of giving awards to excellent achievements in political theory study of the PLA was held yesterday in Beijing. Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA attended the meeting. Li emphasized that the PLA should hold high the great banners of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three Represents", acquire and earnestly implement the scientific outlook on development, conscientiously put into practice a series of important instructions and requirements of Chairman Hu Jintao, further enhance the devotion to work and the sense of responsibility, and upgrade the political theory study to a new level in real earnest.

　　The first event of selecting outstanding political theory study achievements conducted by the PLA has come out with a total of three special-class awards, 16 first-class awards, 102 second-class awards and 220 third-class awards. The award-winning achievements have epitomized the latest fruits of political theory study in the PLA, the innovation theory study of the Party in particular, since the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
