Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, met with 20 outstanding NCO pacesetters from grassroots units under the PLA General Logistics Department. Liao spoke highly of the outstanding achievements they had made in their respective work, encouraged them to carry forward their achievements, dedicate themselves to their work, and make greater contributions to the logistics modernization.

　　According to sources, NCOs account for 58% of the total number of soldiers under the General Logistics Department of the PLA. Thus intensifying management of NCO contingent and encouraging outstanding NCOs to come to the fore are an important content of talent contingent building of the PLA General Logistics Department. The 20 outstanding NCO pacesetters have been selected from among the 63 "All-Army NCO Talent Award" winners. All of them have made outstanding contributions at their ordinary posts, and played important service support role in army building.

　　Political Commissar Sun Dafa and Deputy Directors Sun Zhiqiang, Wang Qian and Li Maifu, and Deputy Political Commissar Sun Sijing of the PLA General Logistics Department, participated in the meeting.
