Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized at the military training meeting of the army yesterday that the PLA should hold high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of "Three Represents", all-roundly implement Jiang Zemin's thinking on national defense and army building and deepen the study and implementation of Chairman Hu Jintao's series of important instructions on army building. The PLA must firmly build up and earnestly carry out the scientific outlook on development in the military training, make great efforts to create a new situation of military training and do a better job in carrying out the historical mission of the army in the new century and new period.

　　Liang Guanglie, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of general staff, presided over the meeting. Members of the Central Military Commission Li Jinai, Liao Xilong, Chen Bingde, Qiao Qingchen and Jing Zhiyuan attended the meeting.

　　Guo Boxiong pointed out that military training is the strategic measure to strengthen the all-round army building and to provide the answer to the historical tasks of being capable of winning battles and never degenerating. We must understand fully the importance of military training from the height of strategy and the overall situation and truly put military training on the strategic position so as to create a strongly favorable environment for military training and continually boost the development and innovation of military training.
