Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), Cao Gangchuan, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, state councilor and defense minister, and Xu Caihou, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, met with members of the lecture team on the outstanding deeds of Ding Xiaobing yesterday in Beijing, during which they urged all the officers and men of the PLA and the Armed Police Force to intensify the activities of learning from Ding Xiaobing, and through which to strengthen their lofty ideals, fortify their convictions and heighten their revolutionary spirit. The CMC leaders also called on all the officers and men to study and work harder and practice more conscientiously the scientific outlook on development in an all-round way so as to push for faster and better development of the national defense and the army building, and strive for faithfully fulfillment of the historic mission of the army in the new century and new period.
