　　Xu Caihou, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, recently emphasized that, when he made a special investigation into and research on the on-going education on maintaining the advance nature of the Party members in the PLA and the Armed Police Force units stationed in Beijing area, the PLA and the Armed Police Force units at various levels should grasp the main line of studying and implementing the important thought of the "Three Represents", earnestly study and implement the important instructions of Chairman Hu Jintao, spare no efforts to consolidate and expand the achievements made by Party committees above the regiment level in the education on maintaining the advanced nature of the Party members, do a good job from start to finish in the Party-wide education in the grassroots units and make active efforts to seek establishing the long lasting mechanism to maintain the advanced nature of the Party members so as to ensure the education on maintaining the advanced nature of the Party members make actual achievements and be a people-satisfied program.

　　During the investigation and study period, Xu visited some units of the General Staff Headquarters, the Navy, the Air Force, the Second Artillery Force and the Armed Police Force stationed in Beijing, heard reports of related issues, held talks with leaders of the units and comrades of the organs, and visited some grassroots units where he watched the armaments, facilities and achievement demonstrations.
