　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the PLA General Political Department, stressed at the All-Army Meeting on Ideological and Political Education that the PLA should earnestly study and implement Chairman Hu Jintao's important instructions made during his inspection tour in Shanxi Province recently, truly make the ongoing educational campaign on maintaining the advanced nature of the Party members at grassroots level a project to strengthen the Party's building in the army at its very foundation, and make sure that the ongoing educational campaign would achieve anticipated practical results and live up to the expectations of the masses.

　　Li Jinai pointed out that Chairman Hu's remarks had once again expounded incisively the important significance of, and the guiding ideology, principles, objectives and requirements for the ongoing education campaign of maintaining the advanced nature of the Party members, and charted a direction for the ongoing education campaign. The PLA leaders at various levels should unify their thinking and deepen understanding in light of Chairman Hu's important instructions, and organize and carry out well the ongoing education campaign.

　　Li Jinai continued to point out that the Party committees at various levels must combine the ongoing education campaign with the preparations for military struggle, guide the Party members to turn their enthusiasm burst forth from the ongoing education campaign into powerful driving force in military training, so as to further boost their indomitable fighting spirits and combat style as well as their capabilities to win wars. Active efforts should be made to explore how to establish a lasting-effect mechanism for maintaining the advanced nature of the Party members, and a lasting-effect mechanism for strengthening and improving the Party building.
