　　On August 29, Liang Guanglie, deputy head of the Central Delegation, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of general staff of the PLA, headed the Shannan Sub-Delegation of the Central Delegation to go to Shannan Area in Tibet where they visited the local people and cadres of all ethnic groups and extended warm greetings to the PLA troops stationed in Shanhan, the officers and men of the Armed Police, and cadres and policemen working in the local public security, procuratorial and judicial departments.

　　On the morning of the 29^th, Liang Guanglie and other members of the Shannan Sub-Delegation of the Central Delegation came to visit farmers and herdsmen in Changzhu Town, Naidong County. Liang Guanglie made careful inquires about their lives and production, and presented some greeting gifts to them.

　　In the afternoon, when visiting the local Party, government and military leaders, the PLA troops stationed in Tibet, officers and men of the Armed Police, and cadres and policemen working in local public security, procuratorial and judicial departments, Liang Guanglie extended, on behalf of the Central Delegation, festive congratulations and cordial regards to cadres, workers and staff of all ethnic groups, farmers and herdsmen, all commanders and fighters of the PLA, officers and men of the Armed Police, and cadres and policemen working in local public security, procuratorial and judicial departments as well as retired veteran comrades.
