PLA Daily 2005-05-09 　　 　　Yesterday afternoon, Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA, warmly met the short sketch actors/actress from the army who won prizes in the Fifth CCTV Short Act Contest. He urged them to throw themselves into the fervent practical life of the barracks, exert all their efforts to represent the mental outlook of the officers and men in undertaking the new mission, and make new merits in further flourishing the cause of military literature and art. 　　The Fifth CCTV Short Act Contest came to a close a few days ago. Sixteen military plays were qualified for the contest of professional group and six for the non-professional group, which made up 45% of total plays in the finals, and were commonly spoken highly of by the panel of judges and the TV audience. In the contest of professional group, the Acceptance from the Air Force got the first prize, the Sense of Security from the PLA Academy of Arts and the Woman Soldier Wang Yan from the Second Artillery Force won the second prizes, while the Insurance from the Shenyang Military Area Command and the Chengdu Military Area Command and the Taking a Shower from the Jinan Military Area Command harvested the third prizes. In addition, the Sound Undersea from the Navy gleaned the second prize and the best director prize, and the Lift off Today from the General Armaments Department of the PLA picked up the third prize and the best playwright prize, while Actor Yang Benwang from the General Staff Headquarters of the PLA pocketed the best actor prize.
