　　Recently, the General Logistics Department of the PLA convened a meeting to make arrangements for the education on maintaining the Party member's advanced nature. Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department stressed that an in-depth education on maintaining the Party member's advanced nature should be attended to as a vital political task so as to earnestly carry forward the construction on maintaining the advanced nature of the Party committees and members of the General Logistics Department, take on new historical missions in a better way and ensure the successful accomplishment of various missions centering on logistics preparation for military struggles.

　　Liao called on the Party committees and organs at various levels of the General Logistics Department to attach great importance to the education drive and act earnestly in accordance with the directions and requirements of the Central Committee of the CPC and the Central Military Commission in terms of enforcing the organization and leadership, doing a good job in carrying out the education and focusing on solving the outstanding problems in the Party members and the Party organizations so as to create a new situation in the construction of the organs and the units directly under the General Logistics Department.
