　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department (GPD) of the PLA, stressed at the mobilization meeting on carrying out education of maintaining the advanced nature of Party members of the organs under the GPD that the GPD, as the leading organ of the political work of the Chinese armed forces, shoulders the major responsibility of giving guidance to the education carried out in the whole army on maintaining the advanced nature of Party members. An effective education in the GPD leading organs will not only greatly boost the building of Party organizations and Party members in the organs of the GDP, but also will set an example and play a guiding role to the whole army. Hence, the education on maintaining the advanced nature of Party members, which will be carried out in the GDP organs, must be a success with higher standards and more strict requirements.

　　In line with the arrangement of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Military Commission, the Party committee of the GPD has decided to carry out the education on maintaining the advanced nature of Party members in a down-to-earth way among Party members of the GPD organs from Feb. 3. At the mobilization meeting held yesterday, Li Jinai put forward requirements on how to do a better job in the education work.
