Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of
the General Political Department of the PLA, emphasized on December 13 at
the symposium on carrying out “four educations” (i.e. education on
patriotism and dedication, revolutionary outlook on life, respecting
the cadres and
cherishing the soldiers, and hard-working) in a deep going way in the PLA
that Party committees at all levels as well as cadres in charge of
political works should energetically promote the truth-seeking spirit and
matter-of-fact approach, do a more solid and effective job in the
ideological and political education and give impetus to ideological and
political work so as to constantly make new progress in this regard.
The symposium on carrying out “four educations” in a deep going way
in the PLA was held in Beijing on Dec. 13-14. Representatives attending
the symposium carefully studied the important instructions of Comrade
Jiang Zemin and Chairman Hu Jintao on strengthening the ideological and
political work, summarized and exchanged the basic experience in carrying
out the “four educations” over the past ten years, and carried out
researches on and made arrangements for further deepening the ideological
and political education with “four educations” as the core contents.
