PLA Daily 2004-12-14 　　 　　On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Jiang Zemin’s call for carrying out education on patriotism and dedication, revolutionary outlook on life, respecting cadres and cherishing the soldiers, and hard working, the symposium for carrying out these “four educations” in a deep g oing way was held in Beijing yesterday upon the approval of the Central Military Commission. When meeting the representatives attending the symposium, Xu Caihou, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the CPC, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized that of all the work in the army, the first place should be given to the ideological and political construction, efforts should be made to keep pace with the times, to arm the officers and men with the innovative theories of the Party, and to do a good and solid job in ideological and political education with the “four educations” as the main contents. 　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Political Department of the PLA attended the symposium and the meeting. 　　By Wang Wenjie and Ding Haiming 　　(Dec.14, PLA Daily)
