Guo Boxiong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, and Cao Gangchuan, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, State Councillor and minister of the Ministry of National Defense, stressed at the summing-up conference for developing the combat and support capabilities of general military equipment organically and systematically that the whole army should put "developing the combat and support capabilities organically and systematically" in the first and foremost important place and make every endeavor to increase the overall and combined combat capabilities under modern and, particularly, high-tech conditions. 　　Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Armaments Department of the PLA, presided over the conference. 　　During the conference, Guo Boxiong, Cao Gangchuan, Liao Xilong, Li Jinai and leaders of the military units stationed in Beijing area including Qiao Qingchen, Zhang Dingfa and Jing Zhiyuan visited the exhibition of the results of developing the combat and support capabilities organically and systematically. 　　Those who visited the exhibition and attended the conference also include leaders from the four general headquarters/departments such as Xu Qiliang, Tang Tianbiao, Chi Wanchun, Su Shuyan, Li Andong, Chu Hongyan, Zhang Shiming, Zhu Fazhong, Zhang Jianqi and Li Dongheng etc. 　　By Zhao Bo 　　(September 1, PLA Daily)
