Liao Xilong meets DPRK guests

  On July 13, Liao Xilong, member of the Central Military Commission and director of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, met Kim II Chol, member of the National Defense Commission and minister of the People's Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the military delegation led by him in Beijing.

  Liao Xilong said that the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK and their armed forces had stood the test of the history, and mutual political trust between the two sides had been constantly enhanced. He expressed the hope that the two militaries should further strengthen their exchanges and cooperation so as to further promote the development of relations between the two countries and the two armed forces.

  Kim II Chol indicated that the development of friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and China fully conformed to the interests of the two countries. The DPRK was willing to make positive contributions to the enhancement of traditional friendship between the two countries and the two armed forces, and to regional peace and security.
